CONNECTING SILENT VOICES WINS PERFORM EUROPE GRANT 2024
We are proud to announce that BILOURA Collective's project CONNECTING SILENT VOICES is one of the 42 selected projects by PERFORM EUROPE. The grant will allow us to tour SILENT VOICES in Malta, Bulgaria and Kosovo in 2025 and meet artists, NGO's and activists across borders to create new networks and collaborations all over Europe. PERFORM EUROPE, supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme, is a funding scheme for the European performing arts sector. Through its fundings, it aims to facilitate international networking and supports inclusive, diverse, and green partnerships that wish to tour across the 40 Creative Europe countries.
In the second edition of the project, in July and August 2024, BILOURA deploys a
strategy of active involvement of the people directly affected by the project, namely the population with a migration background. A theatre workshop will involve them, at the same time as the
local population, to give them protagonism, positive sociability and a voice on the project's themes: living and working. The result of the workshop will be 7 flash mobs in public spaces in the
Canavese area, aimed at giving visibility to the project's themes, people and activities, raising the community's awareness of the advantages of a more inclusive society for
everyone.
OPEN SUMMER PRACTICE
July, August and September 2024
An open fix appointment of practicing performing arts techniques. Behind the artistic identity of the intercultural and transdisciplinary performing arts collective, there is the systematic repetition of a landscape of performing arts practices. Exercises for the mind, the attention, the body, the voice, the space, the listening, the creativity and the receptivity, which the performers train without the goal of staging and drawing from various traditions of the performing arts. We believe that the Practice can benefit all those interested in exploring it, and that it is useful for all aspects of life, not only for the creative life.
BILOURA AT AGORÀ
FESTIVAL DELLE COLLINE GEOTERMICHE TOSCANA
AGORÀ: THE STEADY GENTLENESS OF THE SEEDER
28th June 2024, 22.00, Pomarance, Toscany
Curated by theatre critic Laura Bevione. With Michele Altamura, Roberta Cagnetta, Domenico Castaldo, Serena Gatti, Silvia Ribero, Angie Rottensteiner and other guests.
After wondering about the present, with Agorà 2024 we want to project ourselves into the future, trying to imagine new horizons. Since in these years, talking about the future often means referring to the EU Agenda 20-30, we have scrolled through its 17 goals and noted the screaming absence of art, mentioned only transversely as a tool for ensuring the famous "cultural welfare". We would like, therefore, to propose an 18th goal, focused on art for its own sake. We would like to reaffirm its autonomy and independence that, among other things, make art contribute to achieving the other goals as well. And in order to achieve this 18th goal, an autonomous and fertile art, a critical and generative mirror of reality, we believe it is necessary to scatter seeds of unseen yet resilient plants.

MY HOUSE IS AT WAR
Saturday 4th May 2024, 16.00 pm
Participatory Performance by BILOURA Collective
Peace. Siege. Danger. Destruction. Resistance. Survival. In recent years, war has returned violently to our lives, forcing us in its brutality to question the meaning of terms we have taken for granted for too long. Like every year, the performance, which brings together the Valchiusellese community and international artists, will occupy public space to reflect on the meaning of Community, whether cohesive or disunited; at peace or at war; connected or disconnected.
A collective experiment that starts with the questions: If your house would burn down,
what would you save?

collective ritual, music and social enquiry with the task of 'artfully' restoring to us the complexity of life. It places the audience at the centre in the conviction that democracy and peace
also pass through arts.

Partecipative Performance - Val di Chy (IT)
A fix appointment of POLIMORFA festival, REVOLUTION is a collective creation which brings together international artists and inhabitants of
Valchiusella. This year it returns stronger than ever on the occasion of Liberation Day in Italy and BILOURA's 10th birthday. RIVOLUTION will be a reflection on the cultural capacity for change
in its most radical and courageous forms. An action of deconstruction and reconstruction stretched between individuality and collectivity, a drive that often stems from violent situations,
sufferance and injustice, but also is nurtured by hope, imaginative power and commitment. A performance made by many in order to remember revolutionary values and project them into the
future.

ODI WORKSHOP
March 2023 Val di Chy (IT)
In collaboration with the Mary Poppins cooperative, BILOURA Collective conducts a creative journey with a group of migrants living in Val di Chy. The workshop ODI has already seen several editions in Italy, France and Austria and wants to be a tool for the contemporary era of the multiethnic and
globalised West, which struggles with intercultural misunderstandings and intolerances. BILOURA firmly believes that when one is willing to shift focus in order to encounter the other, one
discovers the amount of values that unite people instead of dividing them. ODI workshop aims to build bridges between frontiers, cultures and thoughts in order to overcome the “fear of the
unknown” in favour of a peaceful multiethnic society.
