BILOURA creates performances through hybrid expressive languages, each time searching for artistic methodologies to enrich the contents and necessities of the collective creation, usually made by artists with different cultural and professional backgrounds. Dance-theatre, musical-theatre and visual-theatre are the scenic traditions to which the Collective refers in its proposal of contemporary performance languages.
BILOURA aims to go beyond barriers of language, culture and performance genres, a horizon closely linked to the contemporaneity of global and cosmopolitan society. BILOURA's performance language lies within the field of artivism and explores social, cultural, metaphysical and artistic margins. It crosses borders, limits, extremes, shadows, heterodoxy, searching for the urgency of art.
The artistic languages of the performances maintains the identity of BILOURA, always looking for a development of a theatre that integrates different expressive and communicative languages of the human being. Physical action and musicality, therefore, are source of narrative content and never mere decorations: sound landscapes, visuals and choreographies are stage actions as are words.
