POLIMORFA Festival of Performing Arts in Valchiusella edition 2023
10 years ago, BILOURA Collective was born in Valchiusella: a tribe of international artists landed like aliens in a small community that immediately welcomed them with warmth. Since then BILOURA
has grown, travelled the world and returned - many times - to the safe haven of the valley.
We could not but title the 3rd edition of Polimorfa ‘REVOLUTIONS’, as this is what the birth of the collective was for us: a radical artistic and poetic stance that we want to share with the
public. Whether political, social, existential or poetic, revolutions represent moments of discontinuity in which it is possible to imagine new worlds, design other trajectories and strive for a
society that leaves no-one behind. Against the fatalism that characterises our time, we loudly want to tell different stories that testify that change is not only possible, but is coming. This
year we have invited performances of prose, dance, figure theatre and clownery that can stimulate a collective reflection on the urgency of change: whether it be environmental sustainability, the
events of Genoa 2001 or the stereotypes acted out on women's bodies, we have the desire to provoke a poetic detonation that brings us closer to Politics, to the care of the Territory, to the
active participation of citizens to the well-being of the Community.
Towards these ideals we invite you to set sail with our snail and celebrate our birthday with us, because no hay lucha sin alegrìa.
Polimorfa 2023 is dedicated to the memory of Vittorio Bestoso, colleague and rivolutionary friend. BILOURA Intercultural Arts Collective

RIVOLUZIONE
by BILOURA Intercultural Arts Collective
Participative Performance — Monday 24 april 2023 at 20.30
A regular appointment for POLIMORFA, the participatory performance is a collective creation with international artists and inhabitants of the Valchiusella. This year it returns stronger than ever on the occasion of Liberation Day and BILOURA's 10th birthday. RIVOLUZIONE will be a reflection on the cultural capacity for change in its most radical and courageous form. An action of deconstruction and reconstruction stretched between individuality and collectivity, a drive that often stems from strong situations, laden with suffering and injustice, but also with hope, imaginative power and commitment. A celebration of all and for all, not to forget revolutionary values and project them into the future.

TOPI 20 years from the G8 of Genoa
by USINE BAUG
Theatre of Prose — Sunday 30 april 2023 at 20.30
Twenty years ago, a city by the sea, the smell of basil and tear gas, Manu Chao and explosions in the background. Mr Canepa lives in the city centre, but on those July days he has other things on his mind and if it were not for the sounds and shouts coming in through the windows he would not even notice what was going on outside. Mice, small and invisible as ghosts have invaded the building and now you have to get rid of them.... For those who were there and for those who were not, inside and outside the theatre, in the square of our memory TOPI weaves together historical reconstruction and scenic invention to recount, twenty years on, the G8 in Genoa: one of the most serious wounds in recent Italian history. It offers a multiplicity of perspectives to render the complexity of those days and open cracks in the collective imagination: because certain wounds, even if well hidden, never heal.

Theatre of Prose — Friday 5 may 2023 at 20.30
Unrest, crisis, low productivity, poverty, pollution, global warming. Westeners happiness seems to be directly proportional to how much they produce and how much they consume. Are we certain of this statement? ‘I surrender and I am happy’ is a monologue with “0” environmental impact, self-mocking, irreverent, that wants to make us reflect on how we can be happy by reducing the impact that each of us has on the Planet. The show is self-powered thanks to the effort made by the actor on stage, who pedals for an entire hour on a bicycle recovered from his grandfather's garage, turning a dynamo connected to a lighthouse and accompanying the audience to rediscover love for ourselves, for other creatures and for the Earth that hosts us.

PALCO APERTO + CONCERT JOUET
Various surprise artists + big final by Paola Lombardo and Paola
Torsi
Clown Concert — Sunday 7 may 2023 at 18.00
A special appointment of POLIMORFA, which for the first time hosts Palco Aperto: a free poetic container, open to anyone with the desire and urge to perform original creations in public. A revolutionary experiment in which the inhabitants of the valley conquer the stage, a moment of performative surprise culminating in a clownesque concert for female voice and cello, masterfully conducted by performers Lombardo and Torsi. Clownish characters, accidents, embarrassments and musical oddities for an over-the-top, lively and unrestrained performance. A hymn to the power of Fantasy, a poetic stance and an artistic vindication for the first time on the stage of Val di Chy.

On stage, three naked bodies - or rather in underwear - deliberately highlighted: living, uncensored bodily masses, real, honest and quite different from those we are still used to seeing on display in newspapers, on the internet, on television. Three women no longer young but not yet old, certainly not perfect. But beautiful. Because authentic. And willing, in a surreal show, to offer themselves to the public for what they are, bodies without home or space, with a light step and an ironic and tragicomic look at the feminine. Few words, visual pictures, bodies in movement. A physical tale that investigates the places of the intimate.

A performance of football, puppets and democracy
An over-the-top reporter and his passionate colleague play with the story of Socrates, a Brazilian footballer, a midfielder with a powerful and precise shot, nicknamed the heel of God. The
backdrop is that of a shabby TV studio where the two on stage host Supersocrates, an evening dedicated to the footballer named after a philosopher, medical graduate and football champion. There
is no shortage of twists and turns, nor of guns, as they tell us about his adventure with the Democracia Corinthiana, his football team that becomes a fully-fledged self-management team, despite
the military dictatorship of the time.
